On Monday 30th June the charity placed a plaque in memory of our late colleague Bob Bush on the new sensory room at Leverton School in Waltham Abbey. The school had appealed to us for help in fitting out a new sensory room for the children as their old room had fallen into disrepair and was now in urgent need of a complete overhaul. We first visited the school earlier in the year and we agreed to help them, as it was apparent that this was an essential and vital need for the wellbeing of the children who would make use of it.
Talking to the teachers who we met on the 30th, they were overjoyed with the result of the rebuild and could not thank us enough for helping them.Watching the children on the day playing in the room was quite humbling, as you could see the change in them as they were using the various pieces of equipment that we had provided.
From rough and tumble and shouting, to calm and peaceful playing, with the help of the teachers who guide them along, you could see that this was indeed money well spent on a terrific project that will enhance and benefit the children for many years to come. We thank all our contributors, helpers and supporters who entrust us to spend the money that they donate to us, to continue helping deserving children like these.
