Meet 10-year-old Samson – a remarkable third-generation LTCFC supporter who raised an amazing £1,081.61 at the Ace Café on 19th April! The monies raised have been split equally between the LTCFC and London Air Ambulance Charity – two vital London charities working together to help our city’s children.
Standing proudly with his dad Martyn and grandfather Alan (both London cab drivers), Samson’s incredible fundraising efforts will directly support our July 2025 Hertfordshire Zoo trip for 200 disadvantaged children.
Today, Samson got the VIP treatment with a visit to the London Air Ambulance helicopter landing pad, 17 floors above the Royal London Hospital in East London. Here is what Samson had to say about his incredible experience:
“I loved being so high up above London, the views were amazing. I got to sit in the backseat of the helicopter, on the helipad, and I got to talk to the fireman and the pilot, as well as David our tour guide. I almost got blown off by the wind – it was hilarious. It was so much fun, thank you London Air Ambulance for having me, it was a pleasure raising money for you.” His grandfather Alan was equally amazed: “It was great seeing London from that height.”
Three generations of London cabbies, one incredible family legacy, and a young boy who is already making a massive difference!
